An original NOS ford piece which may be unobtanium at this point.

Modern motorcraft are now made in China. They are all pretty much crapshoots these days.

I recently got a Motorcraft one for my '87 and it was made in Mexico. Talked to the local radiator shop about getting the original fixed up and they said for what Rock Auto wanted, get that one.

Do you need heat? My 88 only goes out when it's warm and no rain, so I just have my heater core bypassed. It's been this way for a couple years now and don't miss the heat.

OP is in Connecticut, he wants heat. If mine goes, I'll just bypass it. Don't need heat in south FL.

My car is also a fair-weather car, but I'd still need heat where I live. Sept in New England is odd where you'll blast full heat in the AM and then AC by the commute home
