Would an 88 LX with a 351w and t-5 be a good car to buy? The engine came from a 69 mach1. The body is straight but needs paint. Asking 3900.00 for it.

carbed, 4bbl Holley. I don't know much more about it, it was used in a performance shop to train the mechanics on swapping big blocks into fox bodies.

even though its not a bigblock. Ok it also depends on what your uses for it are, DD then no not worth it, Street/strip maybe as a fun weekend car or whatever.

being a 351W and carbed isn't a good combination for the street. Even my 302 efi fox is a weekend joy ride as I don't like to fill it up every other day. Although that does make my weekends a lot more fun and get me through the week even more

Strictly a weekend toy. I've owned 302 equiped cars, driven a-lot of the 05-06 GT's, what would a person expect from a 351 car in terms of performance.
