sorry if this has been posted already and ive been trying to decifer all the different threads for my answers but im new to the foxbodys and just want to be sure before i blow alot of money. i just bought a 89 notch that was originally a 4cyl and has been converted to a 8. my questions are.... im wanting to do the 4 to 5 lug swap and i see that latemodelrestoration has the kit which is the way im going to go but i was also wanting to make it disc all the way around. if i bought that kit what else would i need for the brake conversion. any help would be appreciated and sorry in advance if this has been addressed already.

Get all of the rear brakes off a 94-96 car. You can do the bracket mod ( google search) and you'll need an adjustable proportioning valve and a new master cylinder. There's a side that goes over it in detail. I'll try to find it.

I'm not sure it matters, I think they both had 9 inch rear drums, not positive but doing the rear may be the same minus the mounting bracket. I assume its the same though.

Maybe someone wiser will chime in

Man, BEFORE you buy ANYTHING, you need to know exactly what you have so you don't buy the wrong parts or forget to buy something you need. I'd start by posting pics of things like your rear end (the car's, not your rear end please), the front brakes with the wheels removed, master cylinder and booster, etc.

here are some pictures i took today. hope there good enough. wasnt real sure what i needed to take pics of

Looks like 4 cylinder front end with an 8.8 out back. Note the quads as well. Front can be done with 4 cyl ranger rotors on existing spindles but I would upgrade to at least V8 spindles and SVO or Lincoln front rotors and calipers.

or thought also about something like this

any opinions on the stuff from ebay. looked like a pretty complete kit to me. also if you know much about it, how hard is wiring up custom gauges. ive been looking at some forums where people are selling autometer guage clusters from florida 5.0....

Of your 2 choices the SN95 swap from ebay is a better choice even though it is lacking several items.

i read through that and tried my best to make sense of it. brakes and suspension is new to me. ive done a lot in the past with cars but never done any brake or suspension upgrades short of putting on lowering springs on my last car.

Keep in mind the one from LRS comes with fox length axles. The ebay setup comes with SN95 length stuff and your wheels will stick out more, totally up to you though on what you want/need. I'd go with the eBay kit as it also has way better brakes. On the LRS kit, you will still need the V8 front spindles (I have a good set I can sell you) and V8 calipers/pads. You will likely also need a new master cylinder.
