Paint and Body 89 gt bumper on 93 Lx?

Hi everyone! New to the site here and am currently in the process of rebuilding my 93 fox body. i found a 89 gt parts car for cheap and am looking to swap the gt body kit on the car. my question is, are the front bumpers throughout the years compatible? i know the radiator core supports changed between 89 and the 90+ models. but are the body kits, and front nose in particular all compatible, or do the core supports have to be switched out?

There is a difference in the wheel opening, the 89 is smaller and the spat ( the piece between the cover and the wheel opening ) is different size

To be clear, the fenders themselves are different including the fender extensions from the front bumper, but the cover itself is the same, as are the side skirts and rear bumper cover. If the parts car fenders are in good shape it would be worth swapping to get the extra clearance in my opinion.

Swapping over the body kit is doable but does require some work. There are metal strips that are required to hold the side skirts to the body and fenders. I believe these can be bought from LMR. They are often rusted out and may not survive trying to swap from your parts car.

Also, the door body moldings must be changed because the indentation is narrower on the LX and does not match the GT indentations. You also have to use the fog light bracket to attach the GT front bumper cover.

If you put the GT bumper on you will need turn downs for the exhaust. A better option is buying the 93 cobra bumper and a couple exhaust hangers for a 93 cobra and keeping your straight tailpipes.
