Fox 89 Lx Door Handles Disconnected And Door Closed!

So this morning my son tried to open the passenger door on the mustang and there was a pop and both interior and exterior handles now do nothing. Is this an easy fix or a nightmare? I'm going to attempt to take off the door card at lunch, if I can. Seems like a royal pain in the a** to take that off with the door closed. Any tips would be great, also is the handle a simple linkage or am I in for more issues?

I had to take the passenger seat out and I was able to get the door card out. Looks like the door pull plastic pull for the inside is stripped out and was bound up causing the out side handle to not work as well. Very strange. Put some lube on the locking mechanism and I now need to order a inside door pull from Late Model..ughhh.
