Hey everyone, I figured I would post here, give you guys a little backstory of how I ended up with my Mustang. So I found a low milage (102 000 km) 4 cyl on the internet for a very reasonable price. I was not really in the market for another project car, but a deal is a deal, and I have wanted a foxbody forever. My dad bought a new one when I was a kid, in 1991. I also have an 89 Merkur Xr4ti. Even though its a snow climate this car is completely rust free, which is why I could not resist the purchase. Its really clean, was owned by an older lady who said she never drove it because it didnt have A/C.
First day, the drive home.
Bonus! Underside. Play "spot the rust" have fun, you might find some on the muffler.
I asked a question in the fox section, basically I just pulled an 8.8 with discs out of a turbo coupe in the junkyard, it was a really lucky find, and I ll need it when I do the 5.0L swap.
I also have a parts car 95 GT, which I bought with a friend. I will be putting the engine into the foxbody, and I will try and use the harness and ECU from the 95.
I also bought a v8 T5 for when I do the swap, Id like to keep the 4cyl T5 for my Merkur for when the T9 transmission dies. I have a full 5 bolt conversion ready to do for the fox as well. It will be getting subframe connectors and coilovers, I figure I should have a pretty awesome little fox!
