Looking at buying a 89 lx for 3000. It has a 5.0 HO engine and the wheels are 4 lug up front. This means it was originally a 6 cyl correct? I always thought that a 5.0 would be five lug but not quite sure. Have to sell the 66 to get this one but im very tempted as it is cherry. Thanks guys.
Early fox bodies did come with 6 cyl engines. There was a 2.8 V6 in 79 which was replaced by an inline (3.3?) 6 two years later, which was then replaced by another V6 before finally being scrapped by 1986 I believe. After that the six made a return in 1994.
