My convertible top is inop, yellow/black fuse link by solenoid looks good. Moving on to underneath the instrument panel looking for circuit breaker, found these wires yellow/black should they have something plugged into them? Thank you Foxbody community.

There's a relay for the top motor behind the back seat. Does that relay have power with the key on ? I've also run into issues with the harness connectors at the switch...does the switch have power ?

The only thing I know of is the fusible link and I've never found a bad one.

There are two relays in trunk by the convertible motor. One of them clicks if I activate the switch but that's it. I did try motor direct to battery and it does engage. I'll check on power to relays today.

Turned the key on and I don't have continuous power to either relay, went back underneath dash & one of the two connections hanging did have power.
The reason I'm under the dash is the owners manual said to check the circuit breaker but have no idea what it's suppose to look like:)

My first picture shows yellow/black wires but nothing plugged in to them. Could those be the ones you mentioned ? If so what do you think plugs in there? If I had a picture of what I'm looking for it sure would be easier I'm 300 plus so it's gotta be a good laugh to the neighbors watching me

It's probably just as funny as be'n 6'2 all sprawled out look'n like a f'ed up pretzel.
I'll consult my magic book in a few and see what I can find out, meanwhile see if the yellow one has power when you hit the switch

So after checking this morning I'm confident the relay has been pulled. Thinking that some else started working on the vert and lost interest which explains why pins have been pulled on the hydraulics.
Ebayer seems $ proud of his relay so I'm going to look local. I guess I'll move on to the dash switch next.

Second guessing myself, I only have power at the circuit breaker when the key is on. This diagram shows I should have power all the time Now I'm thinking I need to go back to the solenoid and start over. I never actually did check for power just visually checked the fuse link for burning. "Hot at all times" for me is only when the key is on so I'm confused but enjoying the process.
