Hi,,i just purchased a 90 coupe. The body had no rust or dents, but it had the crappiest paint job,i have never painted a car,so i sanded it down to primer and i went with the duplicolor paint shop,it was in my budjet, i have it silver, blue and black combined because i screwed up the first combo ..i have about 4 coats of paint on it,and 4 Quartes of clear,,the paint came out great,no runs ect..But i have wet sanded it with 1500 paper after clear and i have used a orbitor polisher with a compound polish:flag: a foam applicator and polished it with a micro towlel,,it dosnt get shinny, which isnt a big deal but i paid for it,,,Can anybody give me some tips? so i have a shinny paint?? thanks jim

Yeah the last guy went with a silver paint and it was peeling all over,i sanded it till his paint was gone and sometimes i would hit a little metal,i also used some putty on the small dents, then once everything was straight,i primered with 2 quarts of duplicolor prime i then started the painting,i always used the cleaner between seesions,,but not with paint details,,i went by the detal on dupli..I screwed up when i ordered,i wanted 1 qt blue & 4 qt silver,i ordered4 qt blue and 1 qt silver, then i ordered midnight blue thinking it would just be a dark blue, but the midnight was green so i had a half blue lamanns and emerald green The last thing i bought because they were out,,was the beep blue and i mixed it with jet black and it was perfect, then i had 4 qt of clear on it,but i do not know what to do next,,i have a 10" orbitor and a foam pad and a micro pad,,let me know if any insight..thanks jim
