What needs to be done in order to use one on a mustang

I have read that a pigtail from the 4.6 model MAF sensors will allow this to work, but in another thread Rick91GT pointed out that these sensors are OBDII and are likely not understood by the stock ECU.

The lightning MAF will not work without haveing a way for the factory ECU to reconize it. When I bought mine I new I was going with the SCT chip and tune and that the tuner only had to set it up in the program. I was able to drive the car about 30-40 miles to the tuner and it drove fine on the highway at 2000 rpms but wouldnt idle for crap. Once the tuner put the chip in the started up and idled smoothly at 800 rpms. There are some hand held programers that you can buy that you can set up for the 90mm MAF, but if your going to have a tuner set the car up its probrably easier to let them do it.
