91 5.0 Fuse issue

Hello, im new here. I have a 91 GT convertible and i am having issues with the fuses. The horn and ciggie lighter does not work. Got the fuses to replace, but when i pout them in the fuse box it sparks and the items still do not work. Do i need special fuses for these? the same happened to the trunk release button. Changed that fuse too and it worked for a few mins then stopped again.
any advice would be appreciated

Did you drop a penny in the cigarette ligher? Pull the lighter out of the socket and check.

its grounding out. like drop top said, check that cig lighter. in one of my other cars there was a very small spring lodged in the cig lighter that kept it from working and popping fuses.

I had the same issue with a crappy phone charger. I would plug it in my cig lighter and my fuse would blow.

There was a screw stuck down there. took it out and fixed the problem. Cheers guys
