Either the guy in the F-body was retarded or you are lying. I sold my 95 Formula auto month ago for my present car (wanted something stick) and that ran a 13.8 with a cat-back. I have to say I miss the LT1's low-end grunt, and any person in an LT1 with feet that will reach the pedals will walk over a mildly modded 5.0. All it takes to put an LT1 safely into the 12's is about $700. I must say I miss that bitch, but the parts are are just too expensive for a 20 year old on my income.

The WS6 Trans Am and SS Camaro are cars to fear, stock. I personally witnessed an SS Camaro run 13.1 with his 6-speed, and the car was showroom stock. The WS6 is essentially an identical car. Regular 98-02 T/As have 305hp LS1s, and the WS6 Performance Package ups output to 325. My friend just bought a 2002 SS SLP Camaro, and that car was advertised at 345hp due to I believe a modified SLP airbox and SLP exhaust, though I'm not certain.

The fact of the matter is, LT1 F-Bodies are pretty solid performers and with a little work can be tough to beat. LS1 F-Bodies are even more so, and with them being American V8 cars, I have no problem accepting getting beaten by a screaming WS6.

I will give the WS6 and SS the fact that they look pretty "mean"...but they are only AT MOST about a tenth faster than the formulas, transams, and z28's...if not the same...

98-00 have underrated 305 hp (closer to 325-330) and the 01-02's have 310...due to the addition of the ls6 intake...
