The Prism is a Toyota. The Storm is an Isuzu.

It's just another Japanese econobox. The only thing I'd be worried about is parts availability. Being an Isuzu, there may not be a lot of aftermarket stuff available for it, unless the engine is made by someone else for them. If you need anything dealer-specific, good luck.

Edit note: why the hell does this board filter the three-letter abbreviation for Japanese?

Storm GSI/Base is a strong runner and probably the best Econo Sport Car to run and win SCCA. I have seen those engines run 250k+ miles and parts are easy to get.

Any Isuzu product you buy you should be aware of them having weak wheel studs and frequently when you go to pull a wheel the studs jus strip off regardless of whether or not they were cross threaded or not. This can be a serious pain in the ass. Engine wise Isuzu's engines run well and for a long time.
