91 tach problem

My tach is acting weird , its like its taching out at 2K. Revvs sound high at 2k. Sometimes it will go back to normal , but then go back to the problem. I dont have a scanner. What could this problem be? Could it be related to the DIS module? Where does the tach signal come from?

It's the ignition module...replace to fix...

Junkyard...odds are it would have the same problem though.

Parts store is about your only option...
