New to site, been going over old threads but found nothing I could relate to or use.
My 92 GT has an upper & lower GT40 intake, mass air meter prog 77mm, 65mm tb, 70mm tb spacer, walbro 255 fuel pump, and undrive pulleys. The engine was advanced 10*.
I have recently added long tube headers, cut outs, offroad X pipe and magnaflow 5x8 mufflers, all piped 2.5", no cats, since then the car has ran like crap.
I tried setting the timming to factory 0, thinking the new exhaust would over come the intake.(NO good) I then retarded it @ 2* intervals until I reached 10* and stopped there, worried I would damage the engine, not to mention it was getting increasingly worse to drive. So I set it back to factory 0 and started advancing it 2* @ a time, I am now at 12* advanced, and it still does not feel strong through the RPM's, plus sounds like it's camming. I am worried about going any higher or lower on the timming and possibly blowing something. Any suggestions or tips anyone can give??

10 degrees advanced is stock so I think most people go 14-16 degrees with 92 octane gas

Thanks, so I should be advancing higher on the timming, to correct my problem? Is there any danger in blowing the engine from advancing 2 much?
