1992 Ford Mustang SSP 5.0 Coupe, just over 91k original miles, adult owned and never raced/abused, smogged on 5-13-11, registration renewed and good through 5-20-12, and I have a recent clean Carfax report. This car was originally used as an unmarked detectives vehicle for an East Bay police department (both DSO buck tags in place on radiator core support). I have owned this car since it went out of service and was sold to a government fleet dealer in 2005.
Since I purchased the car I had it repainted basecoat/clearcoat in the factory color, and also had the quarter windows refinished by Duggan Racing in GA. I also upgraded the suspension, brakes, and rear end. The engine and transmission have remained completely stock. This car can easily be returned to stock SSP configuration if originality is desired, with parts that are readily available.
The SSP cars are becoming extremely rare, especially with low miles. I have well over my asking price invested in just the upgrades and paint, never mind what I paid for the car in 2005. Please don't e-mail me to tell me I'm asking too much for my car. There are plenty of high mileage regular 5.0's available in lower price ranges. Also I'm not interested in any trades. Overall my car is in great condition. It is a driver, not a trailered show queen... so it is not perfect, but gets compliments whenever I go for a drive. The paint looks great, the interior is original and in decent shape given its age. White exterior, titanium interior, automatic, Alpine am/fm CD with polk audio speakers, power mirrors, manual windows/locks, rear window defroster, ice cold A/C and great heat.
Suspension: Koni adjustable shocks, Eibach sportline springs (Eibach pro-kit springs included), Steeda aluminum caster/camber plates, Steeda aluminum upper/lower control arms, Maximum Motorsports urethane bump stops, prothane urethane bushing kit, (Steeda subframe connectors included, not installed)
Brakes: Baer Racing 5-lug Track 13" front brakes w/ slotted/drilled rotors, Baer Racing 5-lug 12" Touring rear brakes w/ slotted/drilled rotors
Wheels/Tires: PonyR Chrome 17x8 front, 17x9 rear wheels. 245-45-17 front, 275-40-17 rear BF Goodrich G-Force SuperSport tires (tires have 90% tread remaining). No scuffs, scrapes, curb rash on wheels.
Rear End: Auburn Pro 31-spline differential. Ford Racing 3.55 gears. Aluminum diff cover.
Exhaust: Bassani stainless mufflers w/ 2.5" stainless tailpipes.
I have new headlights and belt molding on order, which will go with the car. I will also include new Ford black silicone hose kit w/ clamps, Ford Racing plug wires, and a variety of other parts I never got around to installing.
