Fuel 93 5.0 fuel problem

Explain to me how it holding pressure verifies the injectors are good. Again, not trying to be counter productive just wanting to know your thought process. Are you talking about when you prime the pump and then shut the key off it holds pressure or that when running the pressure is steady and at the set point you adjusted the fuel pressure regulator to?

Should have 39 psig of pressure with the motor running and the vacuum disconnected from the FPR. That pressure is too low which will skew the fuel tables in the ECU.

My question again is "Are you talking about when you prime the pump and then shut the key off it holds pressure or that when running the pressure is steady and at the set point you adjusted the fuel pressure regulator to?"

So when the pump is primed and then you turn the ignition off and it holds pressure all that proves is that the check valve on the pump is working correctly and that the injectors are not bleeding off. What it does not prove is if the spray pattern is good, the flow rate is correct, if the coils are property functioning (as they heat up if they continue to function correctly, and if they all flow within 2%-3% of each other.

The ECU is what holds the fuel tables and the ECU is expecting the injectors to flow like the factory 19 lb/hr Bosch units. If they do not then all hell breaks loose. Google those injectors and you will find threads, reviews, and videos of the poor quality. I would holler at the @General karthief and see if maybe he has a set of stock 19 lb/hr injectors that he would let for cheap.

You have basically replaced everything and the car does not want to run. Its either the injectors or the PIP in the distributor but my money is on the injectors. The reason I say this is you prime the pump, pull the relay and the car runs "smooth" until it runs out of fuel. This tells me that at higher pressures the injectors are having issues. One last thing to try is another pressure gauge to make damn good and sure the pressure is what the one in the car is saying it is.

The distributor is new and I get spark but all the plugs are wet with gas Just don't know how with new injectors it runs the same as the old injectors which were no really old u that injectors could still be the problem. Again was running fine before. Something broke but I have replaced or checked everything I could think of. Everything on this engine is new. Compression came up after I changed oil and turned it over a couple times.

Have you checked your engine coolant temperature sensor. Its in the metal heater bypass lines that run behind where the thermostat is. I had one that had the intake air temperature sensor installed in that spot that ran like dog pi$$. They will plug into the same connector and they both have the same thread. IAT sensor has a little bulb thing on it and should be on the drivers side around cylinder 5 on the intake. The ECT sensor is in those metal pipes and should be a solid piece on the bottom. If the engine computer thinks its cold it'll run rich.

#1 this is a EFI transplant into a first gen mustang
#2 painless wiring harness
#3 Accel coil
in reference to #1, are all the sensors in use including the 02s?
all the grounds present like a 93 mustang would have? (And not all stacked in one place)
29 psi engine running fuel pressure is concerning.
Can't help with the Painless harness but I will say they have issues....
And so does Accel coils, you may have spark but it may be too weak to 'light the fire'.
you have stated (repeatedly) that the squirters are new and must be functioning correctly (not leaking) without testing them even when being told they are suspect by their reviews alone.
And I do have a set of 19lb injectors, but I need to hang on to them until I get my junk on the road then I can forward then to someone in need.
