What is the difference between a 93 GT/LX and 93 Cobra as far as rear axle width goes?

IIRC the 93 Cobra has a track width of around 3/4" more or so on each side.

Reason I am asking is to help a friend with ordering some wheels for is 93 Cobra and want to make sure the backspacing is correct.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

3/4" wider each side in the rear.

Front is also 3/4" wider each side. Ford used different rotors with a taller hat that way the same wheels offset could be used front and rear.

Well it depends on the wheels. What size is he ordering?

It's backspacing that will change. His wheels will need to be 3/4" deeper than a standard fox. However wheel width will change that

The backspace for a 16x7 pony wheel is 4.87

I don't know what the OEM Cobra wheel b/s is...but i bet it's not 3/4" deeper. It's prob slightly less

I understand backspacing and it increasing with width. He is planning on going 18 X 8 in the front and 18 X 9 in the rear. Custom made CCW Wheels so it's important that it be correct.

I will be rolling the fenders and massaging the inner fender if need be.

So for the front I would suggest that he go with a 5.75 inch BS for the 8" rim and 6.75 inch BS for the 9" rim.

I have seen 10's on a FOX, but I'm not too sure how well they tuck under the fender. If he could do 10's, I suppose he would need a 7.75" BS.
