So my last foxbody was a 87 gt. Almost completely original, was forced to sell because of way to much rot. Was going to try and repair it but it was just to far gone. I was able to pick up a 93 drop top lx ( aod ) with about 149k. Cars about 90% rust free from what I see. Small section on passenger floor board that I’d like to repair And a small section by the gas tank latches. Car has headers, a/c delete, 140mph speedo, flowmasters, and x pipe. Also was told it has a impala spoiler, witch is quite different but don’t look terrible. Car runs and drives, just smokes a little bit. Sounds really strong. I managed to sell my gt for 2500$ and I bought this vert for 1600. I have a little over 900$ left over to drop into the Car and I want to rebuild the engine this summer. I’m having trouble finding standard bore pistons. Everything I see is either a 331 or 347 stroker kit. I don’t really have a whole lot to spend so I don’t want to be taking anything into a machine shop. And even if I did, there’s no shops in this area I’d trust with my engine. Everyone seems very “ half assed “. That’s why I’m looking to stay stock bore/stroke. Only thing I was able to find was the federal mogul rebuild kit. Wasn’t able to find any decent reviews on it. I just don’t want to order some cheap rebuild kit for my car, any help would be really appreciated. Below is the kit I was looking at...
