I am looking for the pass side e brake cable for my '93 GT, I have gone to the local stores, the ones that their systems say are it dont match my factory cable. I even ordered one from CJ's that they said was the one. However the one that was shipped didnt have the sleve going down the cable as far as the factory one. I've been doing some reasearch, and it looks like it,s a 93 specific part. Anyone know where to get the correct one? I saw in one magazine a cable listed for 93-98, but that seems odd as the 94's had rear disk, would it still work? This has turned into a nightmare trying to find the right one. Please help before I cut out my floorboards and begin to utilize the Fred Flinstone braking method

Soory that I don't have any part numbers, just a description of the E brake cable differences.

The 93 Ebrake cable sleeve was supposed to mount closer to the Ebrake handle. The sleeve mounted under the driveshaft and was almost as long as the E brake cable assembly. This meant that the cables were longer than the ones used in 87-92 cars. There are no pulleys, cams or 90 degree bends in the 93 E brake cable routing path.

The 87-92 cars mounted the E brake cable sleeve just forward of the lower control arms and used a funny looking cam or pulley to make the inner cable do a 90 degree bend. The sleeve was shorter than the one used on 93 model cars.
