93 gt vs 07 gt

Ok how bad would a stock 07 gt walk me 5sp?? My coach has one thought he wouldn't know how to drive.I thought I would get out of the hole while his spining but now I have found out that, he has an 04 cobra and a 93 cobra...So now I know that he can proable drive so whats this gonna be like? and I can't just tell him i don't wanna race anymore ..and my car has 373,mufflers,pullys,filter,massair,shifter,nt 555s ,and 174k on it, but it runs like a bat out of hell thats the only stuff that help me. other stuff just for looks,handing so hurts me and stoping.

the new ones will run mid-high 13's stock. might be close depending on drivers.

your car will win, with the low gear your car will have way more grunt down low, enough to get in front early and stay there.

the 5.0s torque comes on alot faster than a 4.6, you have to rev a 4.6 to get it moving, i say you will win

Ehh... how long is the race? I'd say you'd get him out of the whole, but he would reel you in and pull right passed you upwards of 70

You might get him out of the hole, but regardless, he'll go by you if you stay in it long enough. If you can way out drive him, then you've got a chance.

It could be difference between you starting and riding the bench

If he can drive at all, he will pull you...

They trap in the 103-104 mph...yours may get the 96 mph mark...just depends...

You may get him off the line, but he will eventually reel you in and pass you.

If you start from a roll, he will definitely win.

They are quick, My buddy's 06 ran a 13.4 on 20's all it has is exhaust.

Oh well Ill let yall know what he says tomm maybe I can get him to go from a dig. Friday or Saturday night iono...and ill shut down at about 70 thats about an 8th of a mile. and midway in 3rd.

hes gonna come around you like your tied to a tree stump after 3rd gear. BUT then again watch my friendly match against a good friend of mine in his 06 ROUSH. he has intake full exhaust predator tuner, etc.

if he can drive your screwed to say the least, its a good feeling to take him off the line, but then right when u hit 3rd he comes around you, and its like dam!!!

hell id race it anyway, I drove my buddies probe tonight, and to say that he would beat me would be an understatement, so you never know, the best thing to do is have an unbiased opinion coming into this race lol.

I have an 06 Roush Stage 1 auto(which blows for dragging), only mods are a C&L and a 87 octane predator tune. I ran a lightly modded 5 speed fox at the track a month ago, I had him from the time the lights went till the finish. It was still close, only trapped 6 mph quicker then he did. It could be close depending on mods to both cars and driver ability. The auto cars don't wake up till halfway through 2nd, then 3rd just gets the car absolutely moving. Never driven a 5 speed S197, so I have no idea how they react off the line.

i still think he will win. if not win, then definatly more of a chance than what everyone here is saying.

if the car does pull on you in 3rd. i dont see it PULLING like your standing still. if it does it will walk by you slowly.

from all the 05s i have seen and been around, in stock form they are nothing special.

assuming both drivers are good. then the more powerful car will win, if not the worst driver will lose.

Me with very little mods against buddies 06 GT 5spd convert. Got him by a full front fender.
Like I said very little mods. His had only exhaust.

thats the girl from the southern mustang and ford club isnt it? was that out at lowcountry before it closed down? i used to see her out there all the time but could never get a run in with her
