The first thing you need to do is desolder all the large 2200uf and 100uf capacitors.
These leak over time and the material inside corrodes the circuit board.
You will need to repair the "runs" (connections) on the board as necessary before the capacitors are replaced.
There is no reprogramming necessary .

It’s a 1993 Cobra. Just need one to turn the light off so I can pass the state inspection in GA so I can get it titled. The picture is the box I pulled out that is not working.I have a repaired/tested unit for a 1992-93 Fox Body.

The reason I am a bit hesitant is because lots of websites that pose these for sale also show the following disclaimer:I have one spare unit compatible with a 92-93: Mustang.

I don't blame you. They are hard to come by. It was flashing a code 44 for the RH front crash sensor. I fixed that and the code went away. Now it is flashing code 52. I sort of did what you did and sent mine off to airbag systems in TX. It got there last week. Waiting for it to be repaired.Actually, I'm going to hang on to this one as a spare.
What error code is your unit showing?
I could repair/test it for you if you want.
Error code 52 means that the capacitors have leaked out and possibly damaged the circuit board.I hope they can fix it for you.
