What are the power diff/ 1/4 times and which would be a better choice to have. I would drive it on the street almost daily and to the track maybe twice a year.

Thanks

I would bet that the '93 is a tad quicker for being the lighter of the two, but the '94 is going to be a much more civilized ride for a daily driver.

For my money though it's no contest, i'd get the '93 hands down. Last year of the Fox (not LAST but you know what i mean) and first year for the SVT Cobra.

The 94 has the big brakes and not to mention 5 lugs, to me the 93 seems too rare and collectable to drive daily.

If you do a H/C/I on a 5.0 Cobra, then you might a well have bought a GT because you took out the ''Cobra'' engine parts. At least with the Sn95 for a DD you get the brakes, a more civilized ride, and factory R134 a/c if you care about that kind of thing.

Yeah, for a DD get a 94-95. Cheaper to get as well.

If I was to get a cobra I would be more inclined to get a DOHC.

The 94-98 cobras kept getting quicker by year. So get a 98 unless you want a 5.0. IMO, the 94-95 taillights look better than the 96-98s too.

That was kinda off topic.

I'm about to buy a 93 cobra myself, so I'll have both... the problem then is that i SHOULD sell my 94... but i'm so hesitant to do that, that I'm almost about to not buy the 93 b/c I know what will happen, I'll have both and drive neither = my money should be in other things (like retirement... but what the hell is that nonsense talk anyways)

I'd go with the 94 for a DD for the aforementioned reasons... but you those 93's just keep going up in price. 5 years ago, you could get a nice one for 7k... now they're 10-13 at least. the 94's are pretty well bottomed out on price, and i don't see them going up any time soon.

i know, you should buy my 94! lol

well, its not in great shape... i just bought some victor jrs for it and hadn't yet decided whether or not to build a budget 306 and back it up with a tremec, or sell the thing for something more practical.

the short: some small scratches in paint, synchros are starting to go, now back to 24 lb injectors, no more blower (never was run on car), electric FPG not on the car... all other mods are in sig, would let heads go with the car for 6000.

i probably shouldn't be advertising on here and that wasn't really my intent, but if you want more details email me curtis.cullen@usma.edu

From a daily driver perspective, the SN95 is far superior to the Fox. Better suspension geometry, stiffer chassis, nicer interior, etc, etc. They're both low-14 second cars within a tenth or so of one and other, so unless you're dead set against modifications you're not going to be blown away by the stock performance of either one of them to begin with. That being said, when you considering the limited amount of a clean, unmolested ’93 Cobras running around out there, I’d go with the SN95 if racking up the mileage and bolting on performance parts is in the future.

From a power plant perspective, I too am of the opionion that the '96-'98 DOHC powered Snake is the way to go if the SN95 body style is the one you want, but if 5.0L's are your thing, the '94-'95 is the better bet.
