owning an 01 gt and now a 95 cobra, i would say there are pros and cons of each.
for bolt ons such as full exhaust and tuning the 4.6 is the way to go, you can easily have a 12sec car with a good driver with only 4bolt ons(plenum/tb, tune, gears, o/r midpipe) on sticky tires. the car is nicer to drive, and is much more refined IMO. add a set of cams and longtubes and you are close to 300rwhp too.
But the working on a 5.0 and the parts available make it awesome. the only thing i am a little shaky about is figuring out which way to go for tuning mine
