I am having a very difficult time finding a trans harness for my tranny swap that i've been planning since i got the car as a present 5 years ago. I have everything to do the swap, except the dam harness. I tried to buy it new, but its no longer available. I tried also buying one on ebay but was out bid with only a few seconds left. I called several junk yards with no luck either.

My question for you guys is, does anyone know where i can find a aftermarket company that makes one or a used parts place that has one in stock

Also is there anyone that has a picture of the plugs. I'm thinking that it wouldn't be a good idea to make one if i can't find one it time (i drop the car off last week of October). I work for a Harley-dealer so as long as i can buy plugs and pins i am pretty sure the techs and i could make something work.

I thought the "trans harness" was all one big harness that also has the injectors, oil pressure sender, etc among other things.

What is even different for autos? I think the only plug for a t5 is for speedo which should be the same as a auto anyhow? (or is there another I'm forgetting)

I MIGHT be selling a harness or 2 but will be a month or more until I know for sure...

Labora, the auto harness has an 8 pin connector for the MLPS, a fatty connector for all of the trans internals, and the output shaft connector (and the VSS as well).

That said, the harness can be modified to work on a manual trans by messing with two wires, or at the most 4 (back-up lights and possibly jumping the starter interlock circuit).

If you end up doing what you mentioned before (wink wink), please send me a PM if you have a spare harness.

The backup light is what I was forgetting. :nice:

I may, I currently have 2 engine harness and 2 fuse box harness. All for 1 car not going to sell till I get this 94 running. (should be a tech thread soonish)
