I have a 94 cobra with the norman bolt-ons, heads, cam, intake, throttle body, pullies, JMS SCT chip, etc. It is also turbo charged. Just put the chip in to day and every thing seemed to be great. When i took it down the road it ran good but would only build 5psi before it started to stutter. And thenall of a sudden at cruising speed the check engine light came on, and wouldnt hardly start off from a dead stop. After it sat for about 30 min it started up and ran fine for a little bit and then started doing the same. Im totaly lost for what it could be. If anyone has any idea please help.

Thanks Brandon

Pull the chip. My guess is that the tune is off once it warms up and comes up to temp. Was it a mail order chip? Could be pulling timing fuel etc. You should do a dyno tune. IMHO thats the only way to get a good tune. Any tuner that uses SCT should be able to reburn your chip.

thanks for the help

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Come to find out the plug wires that i put on the car only two months ago were shot. They are getting so hot that the insulation is cracking and falling off. And the bad part is that i even have dei boot protecters on them and their still getting too hot. So now i have a new problem to solve.

That's a pretty good guess man. :nice: Ahh yes, turbo and heat. I had one of them and I had insulation all over to protect.
