hey guys i just started my clutch replacement project today and i had a question about getting the factory mid pipe out. ive gotten everything un hooked except for a tube that appears that it comes from the egr down the side of the midpipe and then splits off into the secound set of cats. i loosend the clamp but i still cant get it off. what should i do and what is this? thanks in advance for the responces.

I just sprayed some lube on it and kept prying at it... it should come oh and its a line from the smog pump and correct me if i'm wrong but it cools the cats i believe and pumps air into the exhaust

Correct, the air is pumped into the cats to aid the catalytic process. Like said, theres really no "trick" save for maybe some penetrating oil and a lot of prying. Good luck.

I cut mine and then used a piece of heater hose with clamps to bridge it back together... I have been suing the same piece of hose for 4 years without a problem...
I did the same as 94-302-vert. No matter what I tried, it was not coming off of the cats, so I cut it. Been about 6 or 7 years for mine.
I cut mine and brought it in on my next scrap metal run. I probably got 1 and a half cents for it. I think this is the best use for that hose.
