I have this buddy who has an LT1 as you all can see. His car is so ugly. Black hood, brown bumper, missing a headlight, stock engine, I mean, the car would only be uglier if he washed it. Ok so whatever, I'm thinking I should have a pretty good shot but I was wrong. We meet on the expressway, and I down shift(auto) to 2nd and am going around 70, he honks 3 times and we take off. I keep up with him for about 4 seconds, then he just starts to pull and pull and pull. SOB, I couldn't feel any more embarrassed. I just exited and took the frontage til my exit. I could barely control myself the next day at work when he was teasing me. What can I add to get his nasty looking ass car. I've got the K&N densecharger, Cobra Intake, Al. pulleys, and shift kit.

Oh do your exhaust too. Alot of power can be had by getting headers and off road H-pipe.

Not to mention that there is a weight savings going to an aluminum off road H-pipe from a steel h-pipe with 4 cats. It's not alot, but it all adds up

I second that statement. Most of my buddies drive LT1 F-bodies. They put down about 260-275rwhp 295-310 rwtq stock. They are meaner than a LS1 bottom end and not that far behind top end. They get 320tq at 2K rmp and the keep it until about 5300 . I'm suprised you even hung with him for a second, maby his isn't running right.

Hey, it he teases you, wait until he has to do a tune up, or his distributer cap messes up, then well see who's laughing then.

When you remove one and put the other on, you will notice the weight difference. Say, you have to put the stocker to pass the immisions and inspections, you will definatlly notice the weight difference.

Well I've never had to go through that, but just thinking about it, I can imagine it.

That race was in his favor from the get go.... you raced from 70 up. Definately not our cars strong point. Look at trap speeds.... most camaro trap higher speeds than mustangs.... you should have raced him in YOUR power range and that's down lower.

That's what I was gonna say!!

Dude: your car is a mid-15 second car at best. I dont know HOW you could possibly be surprised

On top of that...you let him race you on the HWY, starting at 70MPH

All said is true. He's got more rev's than you, you have low end grunt. Gears and nitrous, throw in a shift kit. You'll smoke him.

don't you mean mid 14 second car...stock 95s run 15.1 so with his mods and good driving mid 14s is possible...maybe I am being a little generous cause it is a vert maybe high 14s low 15s but still I think he could beat mid 15s...but yeah as far as that being able to roll with the lt1 not happening...I sell cars for a living and we have had some lt1s on the lot that I have driven and yeah...they're fast...even the verts
