I don't know enough to give any recommendations on parts, but I do know the first thing that is going to happen is people are going to ask you what your intent is and how much money you have to accomplish your goals. Once people know what you're trying to do and how much money you have to do it with, then they may be able to recommend something for you.
So, let everyone know what you have now, what you want to accomplish, and how much money you have to spend.
Depends on the condition of the motor.
Goid compression? No knocks ? Mileage?
Plan on forced induction ?
If everything is good and not crazy miles I'd prolly leave the block alone, cause the money can really pile up. Unless money's not a concern. Do you have a reputable machine shop nearby ? Means to transport the block ? As op stated we need more info.
