'95 Cobra R 17x9 wheels

I'm a new member. I just bought some 4 lug Cobra r's 17x9, for my 1990 convertible. I wasn't expecting the front wheels to stick out so far. It looks goofy to me. I have researched some and it appears this is common. I want to install some wheel spacers on the rear, but I'm seeing mixed reviews online. I think 1" spacers would even the offset, but I can't find a hubcentric 4-lug, or a straight 1" spacer. Maximum Motorsports has a 1/2" standard spacer. Do you think it would be ok to install longer ARP or Moroso wheel studs and use the aforementioned spacers? Thanks for the feedback, if I get any, lol.
