Stock vs. Stock? Depends on how long the race is. The 96 has more horsepower, but it's very peaky, and requires a good bit of skill to get the most out of it. I ran mid-14's with my 98 Cobra (at 102 mph) .
A lot of folks will say the 96 will win hands down, but having owned one, I think it will not be that obvious.
Not that ANBODY will beelive this, but the FASTEST recorded time for a stock 96-98 Cobra is 13.1, don'y ask how, who, when, or why, because I don't know. This is what I have heard from MANY guys over at svtperformance.com.

I believe it. Bob Cosby ran a 11.7 in his 99 Cobra with less horsepower than my 95 GT has now. The importance of driver skill cannot be emphisized enough.
