I have a 95 gt. The guy I bought it from broke the ignition key cylinder but thats alright cause I want to put a push button start in anyway. I have everything I need exept I can't find a wiring diagram for the ignition switch anywhere ? I want to wire everything on toggle switches + push button (momentary switch) for the starter. Also since buying the car I've talked to a lot of experienced mustang mechanics and they say the 94/95 GT's are the hardest to get more power out of . Is this true and why ??? Any help with this would be great.coreymack27@yahoo.com

For the starter it should be easier to go straight to the starter and wire it from there.....Well at least for me it was....and I think its just harder to tune the 94-95 than it would be a fox....

Welcome to :SNSign:

I'll try to get a pic of the ignition wiring diagram, later when I get up(right now im sleep typing)

harder to get more power out of. I think its about as easy as a fox( same basic motor) harder to self tune I could go with that but If a professional does it its a piece of cake.

I know of a couple of cars that are making 500hp on the stock block

I look at it like this 94-95 the best of both worlds they got the 302 and the nice curves.

What kind of tuner or chip should I get. Don't want to spend alot of $ cause I don't know if I will keep the car. Just built a 347 Stroker with PBM heads but I think I want to put it the next body style (99). Also, no cam for this motor yet and I haven't deciced on carb or fuel inj. any suggestions ??

i think the reason some people say the 94-95 is harder to get power out of is because of the computer, i hear it can be a pain in the but with h/c/i swaps,

i also here it pulls timeing for some stupid reasons,

nothing a decent tuner, chip, tweecer or any other number of options can easily fix

I've done all my own tuning with my car, from stock with a blower to a HCI blown motor and have had nothing but success. Not blowing my own horn, but just pointing out that it can be done if you are willing to learn and understand what make these cars run.

The main thing is like others said is in the computers. Most people have better success with a fox computer but if you know what needs to be done in the 94-95 computers then there really should be no issues. For example, in the above post about timing being pulled, its a couple settings that can be modified in 30 seconds and it gone. Again, it just really knowing (through research) what needs to be done, or have someone else do it.

if your unsure about what you want to do, i'd take it to a place and have them burn you a chip. tuning it yourself may save some cash, but it is a headache and a half.
