In need of some guidance here guys. im dyin for some knock off 17" FR500 wheels. 9 in the front and the 10.5 in the back (the ones with that awesome lip). got a 95 GT and its about to have the Eibach sportline springs put on it ( 2.0 in the front, 1.8 rear). i have some 17x9 cobra rs on it now.....255s and 275s. they look good....but if a 315 would tuck right, that stance would be awesome. im hoping some of you guys has had this setup i want on a 94/98 car. The front wheels are 17x9 with a 5.95" backspace (+24mm offset) while the rear are with a 6.9" backspace(+27mm offset). would a 315/35/17 be about right?

i dont want 'em to stick out past the fender (the top).
i dont want 'em to rub anything (shocks, fenderlip....will i have to roll it? )

i'll prob be taking my tailpipes off anyways so that isnt a problem.

any insight would be GREATLY appreicated. please let me know. pics of anyones car too with this setup would be great too. welcome to email me as well @ mustangmadness89@hotmail.com

thanks

I have 315-35-17 on a 17x11 TTII rim, I have Bullit springs (about 1in drop). I have had it rub a few times at funky angles in a turn. You might be preaty close with that much drop though.

No I did not have to roll the fender lip, there is a part of the rear inner fender that comes close (I moved it back with a hammer working it until it was rounded back smoothly to not get in the way).

My rear bushings are shot on the uppers, and I need to put some solid 'thane bushings in to make it more solid, I am going to install some bullit shocks and struts this winter (I hope) as the tokico's I have are going south. Other than that the ride is good, well as good as wore out shocks and bushings susp. can.

On the front I have 17x9 rims and run a 275x40 tire, I realy think thats too wide up front, it sticks out just so slightly when looking straight down from the front fender. The wide tire up front also tracks bad with un-even road surface (and ST. Louis roads are 48-49th worst in the nation) and hard to get a shop to get the align. correct (I have to go to a special shop that does stuff for lowerd' cars that need alittle more tweecn'). I would sug. a 255x40 or 265x40 or as close to as you can.
