I'm driving down to the local street racing scene and I spot a Trans Am at first I thought it was an LS1 but upon closer inspection I realize that it is an 95 LT1. I knew it was a 95 because the liscense plate said 95 something. We'll anyway we both had a passenger. He had his girlfriend and I had my 200 lb friend so the driver and passenger weight was in his favor. We're both 3rd at the light and he asked me if I was going there so I said yeah and he said he might but he mostly does all his racing at the track. Then he said what the hell I'll go and I said ok cool follow me.

So we get there and we clear all the traffic and we go from a second gear roll. I downshift and hold 2nd waiting for him to hit it and he does. I floor it right after and I'm stuck right at his door and he couldn't leave me and I couldn't leave him. The 2nd to 3rd shift was coming up and I knew if I nailed him I would probably pull him. I shifted perfectly and I knew he was going to have to shift and he did and i gained that half a car back and started to pull to about 1/2-1 car when I let off. He was a real cool guy the only visible and audible mods I could recognize was exhaust. It sounded good.

So this is another car I beat that I shouldn't have and I only have the mods in my sig. I was actually telling my friend before the race that I was probably going to lose. My car has to a factory freak or something and I think I'm almost always a better driver(not meant to be ****y but I can drive a car)

I'm sure people will make excuses just like the last thread when I raced and beat a VR-4. O Well.

I hear what you are saying about those SRT-4's. I have raced 2 and lost to both however both races were from roll and I think one was decently modded. I want to try a near stock one from a dig. I'll lose but I want to see how long I can hold him off. O well, time for some SPRAY!!

my friends srt4 pulls pretty good out of the hole but from a roll he dosent pull on me as much as from a stop. could also be because i have an auto and stock gears tho

Believe me I know what LT1's can do. I was deciding between an LT1 or the 5.0 for my first car and I came upon a great deal on the 5.0. I'm not particular to any car brand as long as it's American (well except for Supras and Skylines) I'm a car enthusiast. This is why I was telling my friend I was probably going to lose and this is why I was suprised I won.

i cant remember who it was, but a few days ago i read a post that said he beat a slightly modded (cat-back, and CAI, and shifter) S2000 with is stock 5.0 5-speed. I thought a S2000 would kill a mustang, but maybe not...

to much F&F eh? lol

I have seen numerous S2000s at the track running high 14s/15 flats even.....even with a good driver i dont think they are any better than low 14s maybe.....which is not far off from a mild bolt on 5.0, and is slower than many other mustang models.

I've been trying to set up this race for months! My friend has a 94 LT1 camaro and I've been itching to race him since I put in my new gears. We're both running Auto's so i think it will be close. I figure my mods so far should get me close to the stock HP he puts out so it should be a good one. Nice kill. :nice:
