95 Mustang Gt Convertible - What The Heck Is This Cable/wire For?

Its located behind the rear seat on the driver side. Has a white plastic housing and a solid core copper wire inside.

Actually it is. I solved the mystery. The part number is F4ZF-15603. Its the keyless entry antenna.

My '95 wasn't equipped with that option. I want to add it to my car, but I will need to get my hands on the correct main body harness that has the provisions for the anti-theft and keyless entry modules.

It might be possible to retrofit a later body harness into an earlier car if you get your hands on the year-specific EVTMs and hack away.
