I have a 95 3.8 5 speed that is my DD. About a week ago it started accelerating a little sluggish and it got worse and worse over the next two days until it got to the point where I couldn't drive it. The only code I have is one I have had FOREVER for the DPFE because there is no EGR/DPFE on it but it has run fine for about a year as is. The exhaust doesn't smell rich so I don't foresee it as an ignition problem (newish plus and doesn't sound like a many misfires nor is there a code for it). I just got done putting a new punmp and fuel pressure regulator on it with little improvement. I guess I'll try the fuel filter tomorrow but I did that not too long ago. Any suggestions?

heres what the Hanes manual suggest it might be
1 . incorrect ignition timing
2 . faulty or incorrect gapped spark plugs
3 . air filter dirty
4 . faulty ignition coils
5 . brakes binding
6 . fuel filter clogged
7 . use of sub standard fuel
8 . low or uneven cylinder compression
9 . vacuum leak at intake manifold or hoses
10 . dirty or clogged fuel injectors
11 . fuel injection or engine control systems malfunction
12 . restricted exhaust
