since you commute 60 miles don't go for the 3:55. on the freeway in 5th you'll hit a loud drone zone especially if you go with a chambered catback.

go with the 3:73's i wish i had.

Well I just checked it's an M -code. I guess that's why it's so sluggish.

As far as cleaning the Mass Air. How do you do that? I know GM's have a relay to heat the wire up to do a burn off. Don't fords have that? I know how to work on GM TPI. I used to have an '89 GTA. I did a lot of home mods to that car. I modified the mass air in that car.

I get the drone in my 01gt but only in the 60-70mph range. In atlanta most people do 75-85mph+ on the freeway.

take off the stock airbox until you can reach the mass air. Then simply roemove that and get some carb cleaner and spray some on a q-tip or cotton swab. Then just the rub clean all of the wires. Also while your at it, spray the carb cleaner on a rag and clean out the throttle body.

If you're going to actually rub the elements with a Q-tip and alcohol, do it VERY GENTLY. Otherwise if you bend/break a wire you'll have to get a new MAF. Which brings up another worthwhile bolt-on..

Ok, Ebay and classifieds are GREAT. I got a set of 3.73's for 35 bucks, gonna put them on in the next couple weeks, hopefully with a rebuilt tranny, so i can shift hard again. Also, an explorer intake would be great too, but i don't know how much work goes into changing that all over. You can do a search, i'm sure it would help.
