They have their flaws

They lack power compared to most cars and the plastic intake manifold loves to crack and get rid of your coolant for you

they have less power than the 99-04 GT's but they are still nice cars

but I like the more aggressive lines of the newer models But i like my car still

I like My 1996 Mustang GT alot. I have had it for about three months and have been getting tons of compliments on it and just having fun with it. There not the fastest but it seems pretty fast to me since it has some good mods and is the only Mustang I have ever owned.

Yeah the reason 99+ GT's put out more power is due to modified intake manifold/cams/heads. It's a VERY common swap to do at LEAST the cams/intake and very often the whole head as well. It'll put you on par with a newer body gt (pre05, and the truthfulness of that statement is argued). The search function is your friend if you want more info on that swap.

I'll whore out some pics of my car too, I suck with a camera and my car isn't very photogenic though.

I just noticed now how big of a difference in looks there is in my car vs other 94-98's with that stupid bumpbar thing on the door...Wonder what it'd look like if I took them off. The paint would either be a) nonexistant b) scratched/damaged to crap c) better than the rest due to lack of UV damage lol.

I need some new pictures,these are 2 years old, pre-motor(-70lb. up front),exhaust,etc.
IMO that looks too low.

i had a choice between getting the new '99 stang or the leftover '98. i guess you can see what i chose. the extra 35 hp wasn't worth it to me.

I love the 94-98 Body style the best personally. That's why I've dumped so much into this piece.

One of these usually makes up for our stock lack of power
