96-98 Passanger side air bag cover removal?

Any one out there done this before? Any tips you can give me on how to make removal easier and precautions to help make sure the air bag doesn't go off besides disconnecting to battery. Also is the actual bag connected to the passanger side cover?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Disconnect BOTH battery cables, turn key on for a few seconds, let the car sit this way for 5 minutes. For extra safety you can disconnect the airbag module connector on the driver's side by the gas pedal (blue box).

Take out the glovebox, there's a two-wire connector on the left rear of the airbag assy. (disconnect) and it's got a strain-relief next to it. Finally, loosen/remove the two nuts (10mm?) on the back of the airbag assy. and the whole unit, cover and all, pulls out together.

The cover is attached to the airbag assy. with several large rivets.
