96 cobra header information

i own a 96 cobra. i was going to buy the bbk long tubes. i was justwondering if anyone thinks has an opinion on these.they are going to cost me 500 bucks and if there were any other headers out there that were cheaper and performed the same? i also have to get the matching h-pipe correct?

yes u will need a long tube h/x pipe.

from what i read everywhere, cobras respond well to mods. i hear LT's are good for these cars but the install is a PITA!

the BBK LT header install

Those headers are a real pain!!!! I suggest that you do the tube K at the same time. I instructions make it sound easy, and it far from it( and Im a pro Mech).The easyest way is to drop the susp, Support the motor w/ a cherrypicker, and lower the motor down. once you do that it easy as cake. Also get the stage 8 locking bolts so you dont have to go back and tighten them later. Those air tubes dont ever match up. Other than that they are well worth it. My motor is broke and getting rebuilt. and Im going to a turbo system, so my headers are up for sale with the h pipe.
