I've got a project going on right now and wanted to know if anyone knows what kind of clearance the 96 Cobra hood gives us for intakes. Does anyone have some measurements I could use to see if it'll fit? I've got the Victor Jr intake with a spacer, I think it's a 1-inch spacer, I'll have to check. I'd take the spacer off but I need it to clear the valve covers on the car and I'd rather keep the spacer on and work around it. Thanks!

I have the 96-98 cobra hood with a TFS intake with no clearance issues but I do not have a spacer between the upper and lower. The buldge in the hood lines up with the intake pretty nicely that might give you the xtra room.

Cool, thanks. Does the bulge come all the way to the front of the intake? I tried to put my stock hood on to see where the clearance issues would be, and it's mostly on the front of the intake. I think that might be because I do not have the tranny in yet, we'll see. I know the motor might be angled some until I get the tranny in, but I have solid mounts so it probably won't move much. Do you know how much space you have between your current intake and the 96 hood? Thanks!

Sorry I do not have an exact measurement, I have heard the trick to really finding out is to put some playdoh/clay(in your case 1inch thick) on top of the intake and see if it hits. I'll see if I have any at home and see if there is an inch of room to spare under that hood.
