96 Cobra overheat issue again

i replaced the t stat 195 from ford overheated blew out of the cap . ok so i decided to drill a 1/8 hole in the tstat so coolent will pass into the rad well the temps still are highlike the m or a in normal in in hot weather . if i use the A/C the fan runs all the time but still temps are high and after i shut off engine it will blow out of the cap , today i used a hose to clean out all the crap on the front of the condenser and radiator and still tems still tend to climb , is there anyway to adjust the fan to come on sooner like at 190 , i know replacing the rad will fix that problem but ill be sellling the car soon and dont want to sink a ton of cash into it , is there a quick fix ??? will ford do a recall replacement , ? also what to do with the ratteling front calipers sheesh sounds like bolts in a can when i hit a bump , i replaced the pins calipers still move up and down . thanks for any input !!!!!!

Rattling from calipers is an easy fix, replace the front pads and pins.
The place where the pins sit on the pads will elongate.
Been there done that.
You will have to check with Ford to see if the recall was performed on your car.
Running on M is not that hot the other day running at 75 I notice that I was holding my temps on L, damn I wish they had numbers on that guage.

The 96 cobras had way too many fins on the a/c condenser. This limits air flow to the radiator..

Try replacing the condenser with a 1998 unit


Another thing that could cause your problem is if you did not bleed the cooling system properly after your thermostat repair.

BLEED the cooling system really well. Your car has a small plug on the bypass tubes in the front of the motor. remove that plug and fill coolant there. If you did not bleed from that plug you will have overheating issues and possibly severe engine damage.

i need to replace the pads and i did replace the pins last year ~ when i refilled the coolent after thermostat replacement i did bleed it many times i guess ill have to recheck it the dam temps just bounce around to much, drilling a small hole in the themostat will cause any problems ???? is there anyway to separate the fins in the condenser or is that a bad idea ???i did hose it out was full of crap and inbetween the rad and condenser as well , ill be selling it in a bout a month or so.
