'96 Cobra Questions

Hey guys, I'm new to the SVT forum being normally of the 5.0 forums. I have a question concerning a 1996 Cobra I'm looking at purchasing. I was told by the car dealer that the 4.6L 4V's need nothing by 91 octane or above. Is this the truth? Ive never heard of such. Just trying to confirm it. Also, what is the stock HP of the vehicle? I've heard 260, 270, 305 and 310. Thanks ahead of time.

They need to run on premium fuel and the ratings were 305hp and 300lbs torque.
