There's a little gear in the works that has lost its teeth. Pretty common problem especially in T-Birds for some reason. Go to "carradio.com" and find their speedo/odo repair page and order a new gear. You'll have to take your instrument cluster out and get it apart but it is not a big job. Just take pictures as you go so you can get everything back together correctly.

I purchased my Main Drive gear from Odometer Gears Ltd for $29 delivered. Easy enough fix... just take your time!
