97 3.8 engine swap

97 3.8l blown head gaskets. would like some advice on engine swap. it is a manual trans. I would like an inexpensive not overly complicated swap. preferrably newer engine. what engines can i use and what mods will i have to make. searched 3.8l engines from 97 mustangs but all have high milage and wife says under no circumstances can i get rid of car. it does look mint and has been excellently maintained. well over 250,000 miles when engine went. any help would be great

Search car-part.com for example prices of salvage yard motors. Search first on 97's then 98's and see what comes back.
