I was told with my mods, I should run mid to high 13's depending on traction. I can on occasion chirp third, probably more often with a shifter. Traction is definately a problem especially with the gears, even with the 295 rear tires, they break loose up in second gear, around 4500+rpm, but if you run a 14.3, it would be a drivers race.

Your friends cobra should run around a 13.8 at 101 with those mods.

Ford reported 13.9 at 101 from the factory with stock everything. I would hope with a catback, CAI, and wider tires, I could run a low to mid 13 with a good launch in optimal conditions.

I have no exhaust mods and pull 13.7's. Keep in mind when the magazines state the 97 will run a 13.9, thats with a professional driver making numerous runs then the best run being stated.

It's not the magazines, it's the ford rating and with the hp the trap speed is about right. Ford rated mine at 14.5 stock and then exactly what I ran. Of course factor in elevation and driver skills. Bad tires and a bad driver can result in much less e.t.'s.

it SHOULD run 13.8-14.0 @ 100-102. but anything is possible. i've seen some run as slow as 15.2 with bad drivers.
