97 cobra tailpipes, helping or hurting?

I have a 97 cobra with an offroad X and flowmasters, 4.56 gears, jet chip and a densecharger. I have removed the tailpipes and want to know if I am loosing torque and HP. The car has ran 8.10@84 on slicks and 8.75@85 on street tires. I am entering a 4v NA shootout saturday and I want to squeeze every bit of power out of my car that I can.
