98 3.8 to 302

ok a buddy of mine has a 98 3.8 auto. He can not drive stick no matter how easy it is trust me ive tried to teach him. anyway here is the question could he just get a 94-95 computer and 5.0 and swap. or would it just be simpler to drop in a carbd' 302 and stick with the current computer to only run the tranny. Not sure if or how that would work.
any help is appriciated. thanks guys

96-98 Really isn't the easy ones to swap.. Because you need a 94-95 K member... Then you need all 94-95 Mustang harness.. the 94-95 V6 and V8 harness that you can use are body harness, dash harness, and Fuse Box harness. V8 specific will be Injector, Battery, Computer, and Alt harnesses. The Auto will bolt up and work but not currect without a tune due to the different gear ratios.

And you will need a new axle

It's easier and cheaper to get a wrecked GT and swap the parts needed.
