98 4v swap questions

I'm a firm beleiver in using the right parts with the right parts, and will see awesome results. For instance I had a 92 firebird formula from gm it made 248 at wheels stock. I did a cam swap using a custom grind with more duration not much more lift than factory, and 2 degrees less lobe seperation. Dynoed it again and saw 308 at the wheels, people think bigger cams, and all that stuff is suppose to make big power but sometimes it'll hurt it.

ya forgot to list that its a L98 the same as the vette engines. it was an auto car then swapped a tko 5spd after the trans came apart. for short it was 350 TPI car, 1 of 1200 built for 92'.:nice: oh and by the way, its a "cam" they dont have 2 they have 1, but any way there were more mods then that, 1.6 roller rockers, msd ignition, 9mm wires, 1pc pushrods, ported polish intake runners, polised intake plenum, 90mm twin bore throttle body, oh and those engines were roller lifter engines, so spared no expense on the cam there. so ya it did, but that was like 3yrs ago and dont have the papers any more nor do i have the car.
