I have a 98 and I wanna see about changing the Intake Manifold. What works out there and is it a bad idea? Iknow SVT puts a lot of time and thought behind the one in there now. And will a new intake mainfold have the IMRC unit on it. Thanx

I've never seen a 96 and up cobra with a different intake, everyone that does out their motor just ports the intake and the heads.

There's a few choices out there for intake modifications out there...Pauls High Performance sells a modified stock intake ($$$) and it can either keep the IMRC's or you can get the deletes for it... HCI also sells a modified intake that incorporates IMRC deletes into it so you don't need the stock ones anymore...and then probably the most popular modified intake is the SSR intake which is also just a modified stock intake...Here's webpages for the PHP and SSR intakes, don't have a webpage for the HCI...the SSR page also shows how he modifies the intakes...

SSR: http://home.flash.net/~ivc1/cobra/ssrdohc.html
PHP: http://www.paulshp.com/

I had my intake modified by a guy in our local club and it's done very similar to how the SSR intakes are...
